Mala is a collaboration with Vincent Ng, chef and co-owner of Toronto's Food & Liquor, which is known for its playful, modern approach to traditional Chinese cuisine.
Mala Savoury Chili Salt is an ode to Sichuan flavours and the word translates as numbing (má) and spicy (là). Our pantry shortcut take builds on these flavours with a nutty & aromatic twist from warm spices and toasted lentils popular in South India. This is our founders' most-used seasoning salt for a reason — it's addictive and incredibly versatile.
Try it with: Rice, steamed veggies, popcorn, fries, grilled meats, for a twist on tomato-based (pasta or pizza) sauce, and to rim your cocktails!
Origin: Made in Toronto, Ontario. Ingredients: Dried chilli peppers, Sea salt, Spices, Lentils, Garlic powder, Dried mushrooms, Sesame seeds, Sugars (cane sugar), Naturally sourced citric acid
Please refer to your individual products for Best Before (BB) dates. Shelf-stable at ambient temperature and have a shelf life of at least one year if stored and handled properly (i.e. cool dry place, no cross contamination, only clean dry spoons going in the jars!). Shelf life: 12 months.
