After years of balancing full-time design projects with being a full-time momma, Aubree found herself depleted and uninspired, in need of a creative and physical reset. For much of her life, she struggled with chronic inflammation, eczema and digestive troubles —all seemingly mild but annoyingly tough to resolve. After years of searching for remedies, she hit a particularly low point.

With the help of a wonderful functional nutritionist, Aubree learned new habits to keep her flare ups at bay. She began adapting treasured recipes to become more nutrient dense and withstand high ingredient standards. Today, Aubree cooks almost exclusively without grains, refined sugar and dairy. While she generally minds this gentle protocol to maintain low inflammation, this Southern girl is not afraid to indulge in a bowl of grits from time to time!

Both a reflection of her Southern roots and Southern California coastal life, Aubree’s recipes honor craft and nostalgia, unexpected flavors and ingredients, all intended to show that grains, dairy and refined sugar are not only easy to avoid, but will not be missed.
